Tory Lanez was stabbed several times in a California prison on videotape, and a new surface footage of the May 12 attack showed a rapper collapsed near the stairwell as he worked to avoid a brutal ambush for himself.
The video began online on Tuesday (May 27), capturing chaos inside Tehachapi’s California Correctional Institution, where Lannis was beaten by convicted murderer Santino Casio.
The clip shows Lannis falling to the ground as Casio repeatedly sprints toward him with his weapons.
According to prison officials, Lannis suffered a total of 14 stabs – seven people in his back, four torso, two at the back of his head and the other to the left of his face. Both lungs collapsed and he was placed on a ventilator.
After the incident, Lanez’s team issued a statement: “He is now breathing independently. Despite the pain, he is in good spirits, able to talk normally, and deeply appreciates God’s recovery.”
Authorities described the authorities as “barbaric” and “vicious” attacks, and the stabbing puts Lannis in critical condition.
He has since stabilized, although the motive behind the attack is unclear. Casio has moved to the quarantine unit as the investigation continues.
Lannis was convicted of 10 years in prison for shooting Megan Your Stud in 2020.

Meanwhile, Lannis’ legal team is still pushing to overturn his beliefs. His attorney Walter Roberts recently claimed new evidence that Kelsey Harris was the shooter of the 2020 incident.
Megan’s legal team rejected these claims, calling them the argument of recycling.
“Although Mr. Lannis was convicted of overwhelming evidence at the trial (which included his own guilt about himself), he and his team – flanked by any ignorant people they could find – pushed any misleading narrative they could do.”
Supporters of Lannis, including Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, called for pardon, insisted that he was innocent.
Megan’s team continues to see the new claims as “false narrative” and “rumors without oaths are facts.”
