Yesterday, a judge shot down a call for Tory Lanez to enter new evidence in the Megan Thee stallion shooting.
Judge rejects Tory Lanez’s petition for new evidence
On Tuesday (August 12), the California Court of Appeals rejected the rap-two habeas order petitions filed by Crohn’s legal team. The petitions include a statement from Tory’s driver and a new statement from Kelsey Harris’ bodyguard who claims to have heard Harris admit to the shooting, which was not entered in Tory’s 2022 trial. The decision to not include this information in the appeal is final.
Oral debates about Paul’s overall appeal will still be heard at a hearing scheduled for August 18 in Los Angeles Court.
XXL has contacted Tory Lanez’s attorney and the team at Megan Thee Stallion left a comment.

Tory Lanez’s struggle for appeal
Since being denied a new trial in May 2023, Tori’s legal team has continued to work to get him freed before being sentenced to 10 years in prison for shooting Megan Thee’s stallion. Their latest efforts include a statement claiming to have a bodyguard who said Meghan’s former best friend Kelsey Harris admitted to the shooting.
Megan Your Stallion’s lawyer slams Tory’s attempt to avoid accountability.
“This is a man facing a harsh reality, who was sentenced to a decade for crime, had to face his punishment and tried to attract media attention and conspiracy theorists and mouthpieces to continue harassing, intimidating, intimidating and resusciting Meg, who just wanted to pay the painful chapters in her life almost five years later.”
Tori is not alone in fighting for freedom. Several rappers signed an online petition urging California Governor Gavin Newsom to pardon Canadian artists. Several politicians also represent Paul.
