Tory Lanez was reportedly fined $20,000 after refusing to testify in a defamation case involving Megan Thee Stallion.
On Monday (November 17), “Rolling Stone” magazine reported that Tory Lanez will testify in Megan Thee Stallion’s defamation lawsuit against blogger Milagro Gramz on November 14. During the testimony, Tory reportedly stormed out of the room and hurled several obscenities at Meghan’s lawyers during the conversation.
He also declined to answer questions about “how he knew or knew” Gramz, whose real name was Milagro Cooper. Before the testimony began, Conservative allegedly asked what the consequences would be if he refused to answer questions. After he was told he could be fined and held in contempt of court, he reportedly responded: “Whatever the fine is, I’ll pay it. I’m a millionaire. I don’t care.”
Tori’s attorney, Crystal Morgan, reportedly failed to guide the rapper through his testimony and guide him in answering questions correctly. As a result, the judge found her in contempt of court.
According to Rolling Stone, on Sunday (November 16), U.S. Magistrate Judge Lisette M. Reid fined the conservative party $20,000 for obstructing the case after multiple evidence collection failures. His lawyer was reportedly ordered to pay $5,000 for failing to comply with professional standards.
Tory was sent to jail several times over the lawsuit, but without success. He has refused to answer questions on three separate occasions since April and has made the legal process difficult.
Meghan sued Milagro Gramez for defamation in 2024. The rapper accused Milagro of falsely accusing her of perjury, promoting her fake porn videos, and colluding with Tory Lanez to engage in extreme and outrageous conduct. Tory Lanez was convicted in 2023 for the 2020 shooting death of Megan. He is currently serving 10 years in prison for that crime. Tolley failed last week in an effort to overturn his conviction in a California appeals court.
In addition to these accusations, Meghan accuses Milagro of working with Tory and her father, Sonsta Peterson, to orchestrate online harassment, including spreading false rumors about Meghan. Meghan was given a five-year restraining order against Tory as a result of the allegations.
Milagro denies the charges against her.
