The high-profile attorney confirmed Tuesday (June 3) that Tony Buzbee refused to represent Moriah Mills in a potential civil lawsuit against Zion Williamson on behalf of Moriah Mills.
Adult film actress Mills contacted Buzbee’s office for legal representation, who hopes to bring to the New Orleans Pelicans star.
After preliminary review, Buzbee’s team passed the case.
“We cannot comment on the details or advantages of her claims,” Buzbee told TMZ. “As you know, we contact us every day for complaints. There is nothing we can do. Some of the things we do are settled quietly. One number is lawsuits and lawsuits, such as the $640 million jury verdict we obtained a few weeks ago. Only a few weeks ago. Only a few are public.”
Moriah Mills made headlines two years ago before publicly accusing Zion Williamson of romantic introductions to her, before announcing that he was expecting one child and another woman’s children.
She later claimed she had been harassed and humiliated for years.
She recently issued a tearful statement on her social media account: “Everyone deserves a chance to be heard, and I wish me and any other victims…I just hope we all get justice.”
Her social media posts at the time attracted widespread attention, but no legal action was taken.
Given that he has filed more than 50 lawsuits against Didi and is currently in court with Jay-Z, Buzbee decided not to accept the lawsuit.
Buzbee did not specify whether the decision was based on legal advantages or strategic preferences.
Meanwhile, Zion Williamson is currently dealing with a separate, more serious legal issue.
