Foolio murder suspect linked to previous attempt to kill rapper
Foolio was shot and killed on June 23 while celebrating his 26th birthday outside a Holiday Inn in Tampa, Florida. Police said the five suspects traveled from Jacksonville, Florida, to Tampa to kill Forio as part of an ongoing gang war in Jacksonville. Police said Chance and Andrews had been spying on the rapper while he was partying with friends in Tampa while Garth Wright, Rashad and Davion Murphy carried out the shooting.
Police also said that when Garth Wright was arrested on July 27, authorities found a Glock 9mm handgun, a rifle and nine spent rifle casings in his car. The spent shell casings reportedly matched those from two shootings, including the murder in May and the Foolio shooting last October. If this is true, it means Guthwright may have tried to kill the Fool before.
