A man is embroiled in a life-threatening scandal over memorabilia related to Los Angeles rapper Roddy Ricch.
In case you missed it, earlier this month a content creator shared a video claiming he purchased an abandoned storage unit for less than $300 that contained the lyrics to “Please Forgive Me for Being Antisocial” owned by the author items, the video quickly became a hit. The man found multiple suitcases in the apartment filled with designer clothes, some of which appeared to be unworn and with the tags intact.
However, the band’s most lucrative discovery appears to have been the 2019 Best Rap Performance win for Ricch and his beloved late collaborator Nipsey Hussle for their hit “Rack In The Middle.”

This is where the saying “more money, more problems” comes into play, as apparently a Grammy became the most problematic item found in the man’s storage unit. In a video he later shared, the man revealed that since he shared the video of himself finding the Grammy, he not only started receiving death threats, but also claims that his Social Security information was leaked, along with the location of his house.

The man also claimed that he was trying to return the Grammy to Richie and his team, who he said contacted him after finding out he owned the award. However, the man said he was unable to reach an agreement with Ritchie’s team to return the award after claiming Ritchie’s team rejected his request to appear in the video and return the hardware.
Eventually, though, the man contacted authorities, who helped facilitate a Grammy exchange with one of Richie’s assistants. Ritchie himself appeared to comment on the incident, explaining that the storage unit was “mishandled” due to one of his assistants being involved in a serious accident.
“My assistant was involved in a near-fatal motorcycle accident while in a coma, which is why the storage was mishandled,” Rich wrote in part. “I appreciate your heart wanting to return to the Grammys. So much love.
