Atlanta, Georgia host and producer Tha God Fahim had his second extended match of the month and his 72nd overall. Starting out as an affiliate of Griselda Records and becoming 1/3 of the Dump Gawds along with Mach-Hommy and Your Old Droog, we can’t ignore the vast amount of records he has made for himself, some of the standouts include Breaking Through tha Van Allen Belts and Dump Assassins. Over the past few years he has been putting out some of his best work, such as Dark Shogunn Assassin by Camoflauge Monk, Iron Bull by Nature Sounds and the Dump Gawd: Shot Clock King series by Nicholas Craven, Berserko by Oh No, Dump Gawd: Rhymean by Mike Shabbme, Thaman Saga by Cookin’ Soul, Machine Gun Vocabulary Produced by Cartune Beatz. The last time I reported on him was in late 2025 when Slam Dump and the homemade Ultimate Rapper 5000 Guillotine were launching a Slam Dump sequel with Drega33.
“Behold It” kicks it all off with a soulful opener about not letting life slip away, while “Il Find” featuring Jay NiCE continues the chipmunk soul vibe so they discuss how to keep the streets alive on a regular basis. “Freedom N Knowledge” goes for a smoother vibe, advising not to reach for the belt when his record speaks for itself, leading to “Broken Hope”‘s jazzy talk of every dog having a good time.
The song “Became Great” shreds more soul samples to drive Slam Dump 2’s final moments, in which he admits he had to let go of someone he used to go to school with, while “1up,” featuring Jay NiCE, reunites the two, stripping down the drums one last time so they can talk about their power levels without reckoning. “Venomous” features a chipmunk soul instrumental in its final minutes, explaining that he has had to learn how to adapt to the demonic world we live in and that there can never be too much.
I have no doubt that the Dump Gawd: Hyperbolic Time Chamber Rap series will be revived for a second season sooner or later, so it’s not too shocking that Tha God Fahim is releasing Slam Dump 2 on the same day as Nature Sounds’ re-release of Tha Dark Shogunn Saga 2, ahead of January next year. Drega33’s production retains the predominantly chipmunk soul sound we heard on its predecessor and Lethal Weapon 4 a few months ago, occasionally taking some inspiration from drumless and jazz-rap, rather than continuing in the lo-fi boom bap direction that Solar Lottery mostly took.
Score: 8/10
