Brand new EP and 65th release from host/producer Tha God Fahim from Atlanta, Georgia. Starting out as an affiliate of Griselda Records and becoming 1/3 of the Dump Gawds alongside Mach-Hommy and Your Old Droog, we also can’t overlook the vast number of records he has made for himself, some of which stand out include Breaking Through tha Van Allen Belts and Dump Assassins. Over the past few years, he has been putting out some of his best work, such as Dark Shogunn Assassin by Camoflauge Monk, Iron Bull by Nature Sounds and Nicholas Craven’s Dump Gawd: Shot Clock King series, Berserko by Oh No, Dump Gawd: Rhyme Pays by Mike Shabb, Tha Supreme Hoarder of All Pristine Wealth, Supreme Dump Legend: Soul Cook Saga by Cookin’ Soul, Machine Gun Vocabulary by Cartune Beatz Make. He teamed up with Jay NiCE for their second collaborative EP Dump Gawd: Hyperbolic Time Chamber Rap 12 and Drega33 last weekend. As a prelude to the upcoming 17th installment of Dump Gawd: The Legend of Hyperbolic Time Chamber Rap, Drega33 will release the fourth installment in the Lethal Weapon series.
“Never Miss” opens with a drumless chipmunk soul instrumental that talks about living in the great chapter, while “The Storm” puts pressure on the neck of the entire rap game with more samples. “Solo Mission” continues the chipmunk soul vibe, talking about brutally killing any opponent, while “Never Full” chops up more samples so he can relax in luxury.
The final act of Lethal Weapon 4 begins with the song “Never Fail,” where Dump Gawd talks about just getting beyond grabbing Ls atop a drumless chipmunk soul sample, while “So Many Rhymes” talks about his past days of feeling trapped and looking for a way out, and now on a mission to inspire others. Last but not least a “Rage Quit” ended things, leaving his competitors dazed with the flames of rage.
Having completed work on FlyG’s greatest work MENNBLVCK earlier this summer and produced Che Noir’s latest single a week earlier, this spring Drega33 began the Lethal Weapon series as a brief respite between Dump Gawd: Hyperbolic Time Chamber Rap releases, catching the attention of many including myself, and the tradition continues with one of the most soulful releases of them all.
