Teyana Taylor just donned one of the most talked-about looks of the 2026 Golden Globes when she hit the red carpet.
The 35-year-old actress turned heads at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday night, wearing a custom Schiaparelli Haute Couture backless gown that told two completely different stories from front to back.
Viewed from the front, Taylor looked pure elegance in a floor-length black dress, which she paired with a dramatic scarf and artfully draped bodice that showed off her intricate sternum tattoo. But when she turned around, the real show started with the cutout at the waist, revealing a crystal-encrusted thong that had everyone’s jaws dropping to the floor.
“You know, the cracks are covered in diamonds,” Taylor told E! The reporters on the red carpet all wore knowing smiles. “It’s expensive.”

The dazzling bow detail, which perfectly accentuated her curves, was an instant hit on social media, with fans going crazy over the bold fashion choice.
Taylor completed the stunning look with classic diamond and palladium earrings from the late 1940s Tiffany & Co. and a matching icy bracelet and ring that captured every flash of the camera.
The multi-talented star revealed that her daughters Rue Rose, 5, and Iman “Junie” Tayla, 10, both approve of the boundary-pushing group.
This isn’t the first time Taylor has flaunted her assets at a major awards show, having previously made headlines at the 2021 Met Gala in a silver Prabal Gurung toga gown that showed off her colorful hip tattoos.
But Sunday night’s look took on extra significance, with Teyana Taylor nominated for best supporting actress for her role as Perfidia Beverly Hills in Paul Thomas Anderson’s politically charged thriller “One Day After Another.”
The nomination marks Taylor’s first Golden Globe win, competing against heavyweights such as Ariana Grande, Emily Blunt, Elle Fanning, Inga Ibdot Lillias and Amy Madigan.
In the film, Taylor plays a revolutionary who struggles with postpartum depression after giving birth to a child with vigilante Leonardo DiCaprio’s character, ultimately making the difficult decision to leave her family.

“It makes her feel like, ‘Okay, I need to be selfish and show up for myself, even if it’s at the cost of leaving my kids,'” Teyana Taylor explained her character’s journey in a recent interview.
The role showcased the range of Taylor’s dramatic performances in Anderson’s nine-time nominated film, proving she’s more than just a pretty face and killer curves.
When her name was called as the winner, Taylor took to the stage and immediately acknowledged her stunning look, turning around to show the audience her “party in the back.”
