In one of Drake’s explosively leaked diss tracks, one particular set of bars caught the attention of fans by naming other artists he believes have surpassed his biggest rival, Kendrick Lamar. The three artists are Travis Scott, 21 Savage and K.Dot’s former TDE label mate SZA. As for the first two, they’ve remained silent on the issue, as their loyalties to the Drizzy and Metro Boomin/Future camps appear to be ambivalent. However, Solana seemed to respond to the 6ix God mentioning her in the song, which many fans took to be a sign that she wasn’t back and forth.
Additionally, SZA posted a clip of NeNe Leakes of The Real Housewives of Atlanta fame on her Instagram Story on Saturday night (April 13). “Now, why am I in this?” NeNe said in the short video. “See how I got myself into this? I didn’t even do anything.” Of course, this is a post that’s hard to explain in any other way than as a response to her appearance in a Drake diss. This also puts the superstar in a somewhat complicated situation, as she just collaborated with Aubrey on two songs from his For All The Dogs album last October.

SZA apparently responded to Drake’s praise of her at the expense of Kendrick Lamar
Still, many believe the partnership doesn’t mean SZA will easily change Kendrick Lamar’s stance. While there really isn’t enough information or context to assume whether she’ll choose Drake’s side or whether she’ll explicitly side with the Compton lyricist, we can at least assume based on this clip that she doesn’t really want any part of it, because She’s probably busy dealing with Lana’s leaks. Maybe this bar is trying to elevate these artists and let them know they have OVO’s support, but maybe they didn’t want this casual participation in the first place.
Meanwhile, others in the rap world seemed to be quick to address their issues in the diss, with Rick Ross directing it in the form of a diss track within hours of the leak. Replied. Do you think there’s more to come, or will people take a stance closer to what the St. Louis native is doing here? Anyway, hit up the comments section below and express your thoughts on it all.
