Promising Sudanese-born artist Nadine El Roubi returns today with a new project called Freestyles Pt. 2: Mixtape.
This is the sequel to the first work launched in July 2021 at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Her witty rhymes filled with social commentary have earned her praise from the likes of Rolling Stone and Cosmopolitan, as well as recognition from artists like SZA and A Tribe Called Quest.
The 12-song project, which includes songs like “#EyesOnSudan,” “Tend to Your Garden” and “Modern Heaaux,” showcases Nadine’s diversity in sound and content. We’ve been fans of hers for a while, so we weren’t surprised by the quality of this project.
