Snoop Dogg is loved by people from all walks of life around the world, so it’s no surprise that even the late Queen Elizabeth II was a fan of the legendary rapper.
Speaking to British broadcaster Capital FM last month ahead of his participation in the Olympics, Uncle Snoop revealed that he was not only [the more likely] Prince William, and his grandmother.
“I’ll go to the palace and see if they let me in,” he said. When the interviewer said, “Well, I heard the future King William is a huge fan of Snoopy,” Snoopy replied, “Well, the Queen is a fan of Snoopy too. May the Queen rest in peace, that’s my daughter.” You know what I’m talking about?
Shortly after the shocking news of Queen Elizabeth’s death began circulating on social media in 2022, Snoop Dogg shared a clip from an old interview on his Instagram Stories, in which he spoke to DJ Whoo Kid about the Queen stopping him from being banned from That experience on tour in England.
At the time, Snoop was facing murder charges for the shooting death of gang member Philip Waldemariam. A 1994 cover of British publication The Daily Star featured a photo of Snoop Dogg with the caption: “Kick this evil bastard out!”
“They kicked me out of the UK to ‘get this evil bastard out of here,'” Snoop said in the interview. “This is a headline. This shit is documented. They have a picture of me on the front […] They said, ‘Kick this evil bastard out. I was working on a murder case there and doing a show.
He continued: “But guess who’s going to defend me? Take a guess. The Queen, n-gga. “This man has done nothing in our country,” the Queen said. “He can come. Queen, n-gga, bow.”
“When the Queen speaks, please bow. That’s Harry and Williams’ grandmother, you know? You don’t think they’re there to say, ‘Granny, please let him in, Granny. He’s okay. We love his music.’ “You know Harry, I’ll let him come in for you. “After all, he’s not that bad, and he’s very cute. … Queen, that’s my daughter.”
Many famous artists took to social media to mourn Queen Elizabeth II, including Nicki Minaj, Janet Jackson, Sir Elton John, Sir Paul McCartney and Eve.
