Snoop Dogg has officially crowned Kendrick Lamar the “King of the West” following K.dot’s highly anticipated “Pop Out” concert in Los Angeles.
The “Pop Out” event was held at The Forum on June 1. In addition to inviting Los Angeles superstars including Dr. Dre, ScHoolboy Q, Jay Rock, Tyler, the Creator, YG and Roddy Ricch, Kendrick also successfully Uncle Snoop was impressed when he gathered members of the Crips and Bloods on stage.
“Shout out to K.dot and all my fellow Westerners who are uniting and coming together in peace and love,” Snoop said in a video posted on Instagram while in Toronto. “That was so beautiful. Look. It’s fun to watch. It’s great to see all my people together. And K.dot – you are the King of the West.

Even though Kendrick Lamar orchestrated this peaceful moment, he wasn’t shy about how moved he was to see it all come to pass.
As the show drew to a close, he told the audience: “I’m so emotional about this. We’ve been a mess since Nipsey [Hussle] died. We’ve been a mess since Kobe [Bryant] died. This is unity at its best.
He continued: “We’ve definitely lost a lot of friends because of this music, this street trash. It’s special for all of us to be on stage together. Everybody on this stage has a fallen soldier.

One person joked: “Kendrick’s hatred for Drake really unifies The Bloods and The Crips.”
As for Snoop Dogg, he’s somewhat involved after Drizzy used artificial intelligence to recreate the West Coast legend’s voice for 2Pac’s controversial song “Taylor Made Freestyle.” The feud between Drake and Kendrick. The song was later removed due to legal threats from Pac’s estate.
On the track, a computer-generated Snoop raps: “Dot, you know the dogs never fucking doubted you/But now it looks like you had no idea what the fuck you were going to do when you posted it.”
Shortly after the song dropped, the Long Beach native took to social media to share hilarious reactions to his “feature.”
“What did they do? When? How? Are you sure? [Sigh] You guys had a great night,” he said in a brief video on Instagram. “Why is everyone calling me and making me mad? What the fuck is going on? What’s going on? I’m going to go back to bed. Goodnight.
Some fans thought Snoop later retweeted “Taylor Made Freestyle” on his Instagram Stories with the caption, “90s Hip Hop Forever,” and credited it.
Other fans were more skeptical considering Snoop’s long history with Kendrick, who have collaborated multiple times and performed together at the Super Bowl.
