Snoop Dogg and UrFavGrannie filmed a new music video in California, proving age doesn’t stop bars or dreams from hitting the streets.

Snoop Dogg teams up with UrFavGrannie to ride across California with a lyrical surprise on new single “Makin’ It Out Da Hood G Mix,” a music video that blends West Coast swagger with the raw story of a 60-year-old Uber driver turned viral rapper.

The collaboration came about after Snoop Dogg retweeted one of UrFavGrannie’s freestyles on Instagram, praising her delivery and flow.

The online nod quickly turned into a real-world opportunity when a third party stepped in to fly her to California and pay for her travel.

“They were genuinely reaching out and I could tell they really just wanted to do something for me and they were willing to fly me to California and pay for my room, airfare and everything,” UrFavGrannie said.

The video, which has been viewed 200,000 times on YouTube, shows the Virginian driving a white Land Rover through Los Angeles before picking up Snoop himself.

“I’m still speechless,” she said. “Snoopy was that guy. He was very genuine. He really wanted to help people. His genuineness, you could feel it.”

UrFavGrannie was born in Norfolk and grew up in the foster care system. UrFavGrannie (real name withheld) faced a turbulent childhood marked by instability and run-ins with the law.

Now living in Henrico, Virginia, she uses music to reflect on these struggles and inspire others, especially older women who may feel invisible in the hip-hop world.

She started rapping in 2021, but her social media presence predates her music, with more than 355,000 followers on Instagram and nearly 400,000 followers on TikTok.

The track is available on all major streaming platforms, but she noted that it’s “not suitable for younger audiences.”
