Sheff G and Sleepy Hallow are two New York artists who have received a lot of criticism recently. Overall, it was because they took the stage with Donald Trump for a special rally. At this rally, they expressed their support for the former president’s 2024 campaign. Meanwhile, other fans praised both artists for being politically active. Needless to say, this was a polarizing move.
Yesterday, we reported how Hot 97’s Peter Rosenberg said Sheff G and Sleepy Hallow should be removed from the Summer Jam lineup. Ebro and Laura Styles don’t necessarily disagree, although what happens next remains to be seen. All we know is that both artists responded. In the Instagram post below, you can see Sleepy Hallow take a more schoolyard approach, saying “this old guy is a cock eater.” Meanwhile, Shef G offered a longer rebuttal.

Sheff G noted in his post that Hot 97 never got a shout out for his success. Instead, the only time they talk about him is when they want to be negative. Additionally, Sheff G ponders why he needs to share the same political views as the Hot 97 host. As he pointed out, everyone is free to vote for who they want. While some may strongly object to the way Sheff G uses his platform, it’s clear that he stands by his previous actions. Whether this will lead to removal from the Summer Jam lineup remains to be seen.
