Sha’Carri Richardson and Christian Coleman had a moment of chaos at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, ending with her cuffs, but Coleman said don’t let that lie to you – she’s still solid.
Richardson was destroyed on July 27 after a fierce exchange with Coleman. Police said it was coming down at the TSA checkpoint, and she reportedly snatched his backpack, blocked his way, pushed him into the pillars, and threw a pair of headphones at him. The surveillance camera caught the whole thing.
She was reportedly booked at the Southern Correctional Entity Prison in Des Moines, Washington, Sunday night and was released Monday afternoon.
Police said Coleman didn’t want to file the charges and told them that he didn’t want to be considered a victim either.
Now, Coleman speaks and clears the air in an interview with Citius Mag.
“I think it’s just a bad situation. I feel like it should be arrested. People have discussions and emotions. She certainly has things she needs to work for herself. So do I.
He didn’t feel the way the story rotated.
“I hate narrative, too, it’s so negative. Like I said…even talking to the police, he was like, ‘I can’t do anything.’ I understand, but like I said, it’s just a bad situation, she’s a person and a good person.
Coleman also gave her props, calling her the best female athlete in the world, and said she was dealing with what others could really get.
“We are two main characters, she’s the best female athlete in the world,” he said. “I see it every day. She’s just a lot of things going on. Not only do the many emotions and strengths that happen in her not only do I understand, but no one can.”
