Sean Kingston addressed his followers for the first time since he and his mother Janice Turner were convicted of, involving more than $1 million in stolen goods and services.
The hip-hop artist sent a brief message to his Instagram story over the weekend just days after a Florida jury found guilty and conspiracy to commit wire fraud.
Kingston wrote: “Recently they have been trying to make me break me every day.
The verdict filed Friday (March 28) that after a five-day trial and only three hours of deliberation, prosecutors accused the duo of plans to obtain luxury items, including high-end jewelry and Cadillac Escalade, which were transferred and forged documents through forged wire.
Kingston, 34, was not immediately detained after the verdict. He is still arrested during electronic surveillance. His bail terms include $200,000 in cash bonds and $500,000 in property margin, according to court records.
Turner, 62, was detained on the spot.
Prosecutors argued that she posed a flight risk because of her criminal history and called it the “fixer and mastermind” behind the action. During the ending argument, the government was labeled as a “master of deception” by the government.
Each of the five counts (one conspiracy and four counts of wire fraud) is sentenced to up to 20 years in prison. The judgment is on July 11, 2025.
