Sean Kingston can be seen in the video being blasted by reporters raising the issue of fraud as he left the Broward County Jail in Florida after posting bail yesterday.
Sean Kingston pays bail in fraud case
Sean Kingston walked out of the Broward County Jail on Tuesday (June 4) after posting $100,000 bail. CBS Miami captured the moment of his release, asking him many questions as he met friends and family with a towel over his head.
“Sean, did you steal jewelry? Sean, did you steal furniture?” reporter Larry Seward asked the artist. “Sean, are you lying?”
As the “Beautiful Girl” singer climbed into a waiting black limousine, Seward asked Sean two more questions before leaving.
“Sean, are you innocent? Sean, did you rent your Maybach?” Seward asked.
Ji Qingxuan responded: “No, I have it. You can check the license plate.”
According to police records obtained by XXL on June 3, the singer faces 10 charges in the case: six counts of fraud, three counts of grand larceny and one count of probation violation.

Sean Kingston faces multiple charges
TMZ reported on May 28 that Sean Kingston was released from custody after being charged with 10 counts, including fraud and theft. Police claimed Sean was involved in an organized scheme to defraud multiple companies and accused him of writing bad checks and defrauding banks.
More specifically, they said Sean and his mother, Janice Turner, defrauded a Cadillac car dealership, a jeweler and other businesses out of merchandise worth more than six figures. The Cadillac dealer claimed Sean stole a Cadillac Escalade worth $159,701.49 and defrauded a jeweler out of more than $480,000 worth of jewelry. Sean is also accused of stealing a custom-made bed valued at $86,568.33.
The artist’s mother also faces dozens of charges, including theft, cashing bad checks and identity theft. Turner was booked into the Broward County Jail and released on $160,000 bail on May 27. She was arrested during a sweeping SWAT team raid on the mansion her son rented in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Kingston’s music, meanwhile, hasn’t made much of a splash in recent years. His latest album is Road to Deliverance, released in 2022 by Empire. The album, his first full-length since 2013’s Back 2 Life, did not produce any chart-topping singles.
