Scar Lip is causing a stir online after her remix of rising British rock artist Ceechynaa’s controversial hit song “Peggy.”
The Brooklyn native has been keeping her fans entertained in recent months with a steady stream of improvisational performances. On Sunday (January 20), Scar Lip released her latest release, a gritty remix of Ceechynaa’s ####.
Like her British counterpart, Ska advocates for female dominance, although instead of singing “p######” she sings “rob that man in the back of the bus” and questions “when you’re just on TikTok” Dancing?

While the song lacked the explicit sexual imagery of Ceechnaa’s songs, Scar Lip’s addition of a backup dancer wearing blood-stained underwear caused an uproar on social media.
Although the song received praise from the likes of Swizz Beatz and Grafh, many netizens expressed dissatisfaction.
“You are so talented,” one fan wrote on Twitter. “Why are you doing this…there are stains on the girl’s white pants…I don’t understand?”
Another asked: “I just want to know if this blood is real or if you are using stage blood? Like how enthusiastic are you about this weird thing?
A third said, “Just rap, don’t leave out the antics.”
Released in December, Ceechynaa’s bold song earned the 20-year-old her first UK chart number one and earned her viral attention with explicit lyrics such as “I’m eyeing that guy on the back of the bus/feeling Like three 6 mafia, I I’m gonna fill his nose with dust.
Critics praised the song for challenging rap’s gender norms and pushing boundaries.
Other notable viral lines include “Chyna, please have mercy, I don’t get paid until the end of the week/I don’t give af###, shut up/Get on your knees and oil my feet (P####).”
