Conductor Williams has been a world-class talent in the production for many years. His credits include collaborations with Drake, J. Cole, JID, Tyler, The Creator, Westside Gunn and more. However, unlike names like Metro Boomin, Southside, Mike WiLL Made-It and The Alchemist, the solo catalog still needs some support. That’s not bad by any means, but we’d be lying if we said we weren’t waiting for a new personal project. Well, thankfully, that’s happening soon, and it looks like it’ll be on Halloween.
This will be the third part of the CONDUCTOR WE HAVE A PROBLEM series and the second part on DSP. Currently, only last year’s first one is widely used. So far, the Kansas City, Missouri-based producer has released a song called “Get Away!” Starring Rome Streetz. Frankly, this is a great start to the rollout. The only problem is that the track is less than two minutes long. As it stands, this may be a complaint about the album. We say that because Conductor Williams’ second single with Russ, “Ecstasy (Freestyle),” is only a few seconds longer. This was another great hearing. The exquisite and soulful production serves as a fantastic backdrop to Lars’s triumph of lofty achievement (helping himself and his family financially). But it’s too short. Wish we could get some stronger cuts, but we can’t complain too much. Stream “Ecstasy (Freestyle)” below.
“Ecstasy (Freestyle)” – conducted by Williams & Russ
I texted Gianna to tell her the tuition was processed
My parents’ debts were canceled and my role in the family was dissolved
I step into it openly and toast to me
Everything changed on the spur of the moment like Ginobili
It’s an adjustment, but I’m like Tim Duncan at power forward
Drake said it best, I think I like the person I’m becoming, yeah
