Featuring an all-blue cover, the artwork resonates strongly with the track’s emotional theme, which is about feeling blue as part of a phenomenon known as “survivor guilt.” The track opens with a soulful gospel, choir-like influence and segues into a trap beat with Roddy’s soulful vocals, dipped in autotune.
Lyrically, the song is filled with memories and nostalgia for Roddy; he talks about his regrets, his struggle with being seen a certain way, and losing friends along this journey called life . Check out the official music video below, filled with religious and spiritual themes. As a fan rightly pointed out, “Rowdy talked to God about this”:
At a vulnerable point in this short track, Roddy also touches on the subject of addiction, and how to get rid of it that may not seem like a big deal, but it is. Running just over two minutes and thirty seconds, the track has tremendous replay value; not just because it’s a catchy trap song, but mostly because it drags effectively without being monotonous. If you feel a little blue, then this might just be for you. Listen here!
