CJ Francis IV has been getting a lot of attention lately for allegedly ghostwriting for Kendrick Lamar and other artists. Additionally, DJ Akademiks recently tweeted that he apparently spoke with Roddy Ricch, who was supposedly one of the other artists who claimed Francis wasn’t real. “Talked with Roddy Ricch,” Ak wrote on Sunday night (April 14). “According to him, CJ FRANCIS is a total liar. About two years ago, Roddy was willing to work with other people on his Feed The Strets 3 project, basically this guy he had never met, nor had anyone he collaborated with songs have been released. [released] Roddy checked him out two years ago because he claimed he was writing for Roddy Ricch.
Additionally, you can see fans’ backlash against CJ Francis in the comments section of the post below, as well as some defense. After all, this is all still speculation, although some possible evidence has recently emerged to argue against these ghostwriting claims. Specifically, these have to do with an old demo of Kendrick Lamar’s “N95,” rather than the alleged version of the song that K.Dot used as a reference track. Additionally, CJ Francis himself has said: “I had nothing to do with this song. I had nothing to do with it being posted online.”

So none of this seems to be his fault, so maybe fans should blame the two tweets that went viral on the subject. “Quentin Miller partner CJ Francis IV ghostwriting for Kendrick Lamar,” one Twitter user wrote incendiary about the matter, That kicked off the whole thing. “Here’s his N95 (2022) demo. I’d say it’s a collaboration, but his name isn’t on the credits [ghost emoji]”My son CJ Francis IV wrote on the Kendrick Project,” another user tweeted in 2022. “I’m so mad for my son! He’s one of the most talented people in the world, man, this is next level!!
At the same time, it’s all obviously worth noting, thanks to the Kendrick-Drake beef that currently dominates hip-hop discourse.
