Rihanna is willing to have at least one more child with A$AP Rocky and has a gender preference.
The power couple has two sons, RZA (born in May 2022) and Riot (born in August 2023), but RiRi revealed that she hopes to take her family further.
Speaking with her long-time stylist and Interview magazine editor-in-chief Mel Ottenberg, the Barbadian beauty said she wanted to “do as much as possible” [kids] As God desired “she had and was willing to give birth to a baby girl.
“I don’t know what God wants, but I will pursue more than two,” she said. “I will work hard for my daughter. But of course, if it’s another boy, it’s another boy.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Rihanna spoke about her journey as a mother and raising two boys with her partner of five years, A$AP Rocky.
She revealed that RZA’s first word was “Hey,” saying, “I used to always try to get his attention, and I’d say, ‘Hey, hey, hey.'” One day, he sang the same melody to I said this and I kept singing, and he sang along over and over again. “
The 36-year-old also praised Rocky for being a doting dad and said the COVID-19 lockdown “accelerated” their relationship, which proved to be a blessing in disguise.
“I feel like God knows what we need as we build a family. If COVID-19 hadn’t been around, it would have taken us a lot more time to get used to each other and even know that we were ready,” she said.
“We didn’t even really talk about it [having kids]. undeniable. It was the best thing that ever happened to us. It just happened. “
She added: “I let God lead and then let go. Because in previous relationships, I tried, tried, tried my best, and you still didn’t feel like it was enough.
“So it’s such a great feeling when someone completely sees you and believes in you and thinks you’re worthy of being the mother of their child. I feel the same way about him. I know he’s going to be a great dad.”
In addition to parenthood, Rihanna also briefly discussed her long-awaited new album during the interview, explaining how her creative process has changed since 2016’s “ANTI.”
“I have a lot of visual ideas,” she said. “It’s kind of weird. My brain is going backwards right now. I usually listen to music first, and then the music leads me into all these visual opportunities.
“Now I have all these visuals, but I don’t have songs for them yet, but maybe that’s the key this time. Maybe the visual creativity leads me to the songs I need to make.
“Random thoughts, weird thoughts, things that have absolutely nothing to do with me. I mean, I can’t tell you. The opponent is watching.”
