Rihanna made a surprise appearance in support of A$AP Rocky’s performance debut in Spike Lee’s “Up to 2.”

Rihanna turned her head on Tuesday (May 14) at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival and made a comeback to A$AP Rocky as he received five minutes of praise for his performances directed by Spike Lee.

Rihanna wore a custom Alaïa gown in a soft blue with a small blue revealing her baby bump, the first red carpet to walk in eight years. It marks Rocky’s first public outing in Cannes and their second public outing since it was revealed they were expecting their third child. The couple has shared two sons, RZA, 3 years old and 20 months old.

The red carpet is always filled with warmth and rain. A $ AP Rocky leaned against Rihanna and gently held her belly.

Rocky’s star was Yung Felon, the highest 2 lowest in the new official crime drama Denzel Washington, who plays a music director allegedly ransom plans.

The film is directed at the height of Akira Kurosawa, set up in New York City, will be released on August 22 and then aired on Apple TV+ starting September 5.

Rocky plays clips during the party and Rihanna’s red carpet walk with a new music preview of his upcoming album Do not Be Dumb.

Spike Lee, who directed the film, appears in Knicks colors (an orange and blue striped suit and matching hat), while Washington wore a classic black suit and spent some time saying hello on Croisette.

Before the screening, Lee was surprised by the reputation of the Palm D’or or calling him “I came from another mother’s brother.”

Rihanna’s appearance also follows the return to music, recently putting down a track for the upcoming Smurfs Movie, where she released the Smurfs voice.
