Rich Homie Quan works his magic on wax with Young Thug. The duo, nicknamed the “Rich Gang,” dropped their classic single “Lifestyle” in 2014. It’s such a tragedy to look at what happened to these two people. Rich Homie Quan has died and Thug is currently on trial on RICO charges. They would never have the chance to reconcile on record and resurrect the Richie Gang (or a version of it). Still, it’s clear that Quan still feels the need to side with Thug when it comes to Guna.
Gunna’s behavior during the YSL trial made many rappers look at him with admiration. Many believe he reached a plea deal that effectively held his label bosses accountable. This earned him numerous criticisms. Young Thug’s kids are hounding him on social media. Kendrick Lamar used him as a negative example in the song “Euphoria.” And Rich Homie Quan, who recently released a posthumous album, Forever Goin’ In. Already jumping on the bandwagon. The rapper really goes after Gunna in the song “One of Quan,” even riffing on the title of Gunna’s most recent album, One of Wun.
Rich Homie Quan accuses Gunna of ruining his style
In the song, Rich Homie Quan addresses accusations that he stole Gunna’s streams and used them on several of his albums. His retort? Fans twisted it. For his part, Guna bit him. “They might think I took over Gunaryu, but it’s my rhythm and I did it,” he said angrily. “Gas is stealing my swag and I’m just sitting in the back and I’m not even talking shit.” Not only does he claim that the YSL loyalist is above and beyond his style, but he also claims that he didn’t even bother to call him out . You’d think a diss like this would garner more attention, but that’s only because another rapper dissed Gunna the same night.
On the day of the release of Rich Homie Quan’s posthumous album, Ferg released the single “Allure”. The song features guest lyrics from another old friend of Young Thug, Future. His Guna remarks were even more barbaric than Quan’s. Future Hendrix hints that he’s awaiting Gunnar’s untimely death because of what he did to the young thugs, and he doesn’t even try to sugarcoat the sentiment with a tactful tone. He just said it straight out. “You’ve made a request to my slime,” Future spat. “I wouldn’t be surprised if you ended up dead.” Guna is getting it from every direction these days. No wonder he frequents the gym.
