Rising independent recording artist Reason returns to rapping with two new songs, included on the album titled “I’ll Get Over It” to wrap up 2024. “Sick N Tied” and “Brodie” showcase the artist’s impressively conscious rapping while naturally expressing his emotions about the trials and tribulations of his past. The new music is a preview of what we can expect from the West Coast star following his departure from Top Dawg Entertainment.
“Brodie” was the highlight of the two songs, but “Sick N Tied” made a commercial impact. In “Brody,” he deftly tells the story of how he’s always been doubted, but continues to show and prove over and over again, and that he doesn’t owe anyone anything, which is exciting to him. When it comes to money, Rez acknowledges his freedom and how much of a problem he plans to bring to the rap game. The Carson, Calif., native has promised plenty of new music in previous interviews. It appears TDE and the artist have parted ways, with neither party having spoken negatively about the other since June.
The new tracks are the former TDE artist’s first official releases since leaving the label in June. He signed with the legendary label in 2017 and has released three albums. Porches, released in 2023, is his final album with the label, which includes TDE’s own SiR, Ray Vaughn and Doechii. Reason continues to support TDE in all of its social media activities. The next chapter of his journey looks very promising.
I’ll get over it – reasons
I keep my vision clear so I can see the intention
Gets a lot of hate but is never mentioned
Please, if you’re going to shoot me, please describe it.
Got some scars from the journey but mission accomplished
