Reason and Punch have some thoughts on Fans’ recent rankings [most of] Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE) List.
The list, which began circulating on Thursday (April 18), ranks the Los Angeles-based label’s artists as follows:
1. Isaiah Rashad; 2. Schoolboy Q; 3. SiR; 4. Shenzhen Security Bureau; 5. Ab Soul; 6. Jerrock; 7. Dalet; 8. Ray Vaughn; 9. Lance Skiwalk; 10. Zachary; 11. Punching; 12. Reason.
Reason questioned the ranking after finishing at the bottom, but only because Doechii was left out and not ranked ahead of him.
“Look, that’s not fair and I’m not happy about it! Shhh,” he joked on Twitter/X. “This just proves that you don’t care about the music and what’s going on, I hate it! Well I should be 13! Where is Docky?” [laughing emoji]”
Terrence “Punch” Henderson, TDE president and rapper, had a much shorter reply, simply writing: “11 is crazy. Haha.”
Look man, that’s not fair and I have a huge problem with that!smh
Like this proves you guys don’t care about the music and what’s going on, I hate it!smhI should be 13 years old! Where is Duoqi?

However, Reason may not last long under the influence of TDE. Earlier this week, he seemed to hint at a separation from his longtime label after receiving criticism for expressing support for Drake.
Reason took to X/Twitter to praise the song’s production shortly after Drizzy’s comments directed at TDE alum Kendrick Lamar (among others) began circulating online.
“No, this final product is crazy,” he wrote in a since-deleted tweet.
After being called out, he simply responded with some laughing emojis, adding: “I just love good producers.”
Later, a blog page tweeted that the rapper had been removed from TDE, to which he responded with a hat emoji: “Haven’t got any papers yet.”
When one fan asked for clarification on the “not yet” question, he seemed to confirm that the split was inevitable: “Yeah bro, been asking for it for a minute.”
Tensions between Reason and TDE appear to have been building for some time, as he claimed last summer that no one from the label attended an album listening party he hosted for Porches.
“I had a show and no one from the label showed up, so…” he said on the Rory & Mal podcast.
When the host asked Reason if he was serious, he reiterated the point and replied: “Ray Vaughan showed up – shout out to Ray Vaughan. I thought, you know, maybe n-ggas gave I some space.
