Rapsody recently released her fourth studio album to critical acclaim, and now she’s ready to hit the road with her new material.
On Monday (May 20), the 41-year-old MC announced plans to tour Please Don’t Cry in North America and Europe this fall with Niko Brim. Additionally, she promised to add more dates soon and extend the trek to South Africa.
After playing four shows in Europe in early September, the “Power” rapper will return to the United States for another eighteen shows. As of now, her run is scheduled to include two shows in her home state of North Carolina at the end of October.

Rapsody’s latest project features some of hip-hop’s greatest voices, such as Erykah Badu, Lil Wayne and more. In an interview with HipHopDX last week, she revealed that working with Weezy pushed her to constantly improve her game.
“I just wanted to say what I wanted to say and make it fun,” she said. “But then, he sent his poem, and I was like, ‘I have to get to an artistic level.'” Like, it’s Wayne!
“I’m not afraid to say it because he’s one of the goats. That’s it. A lot of artists wouldn’t say it. But I will say this: I wrote my verse probably 27 times.
