Rapper reacts to Joe Biden dropping out of 2024 presidential race
President Joe Biden announced on Sunday (July 21) that he will end his presidential re-election campaign, just four months before Election Day in November. Biden, 81, has endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris in the presidential bid to succeed him in the Oval Office.
“While I intend to seek re-election, I believe it is in the best interests of my party and the country that I resign and focus on fulfilling my duties as president,” Biden said in the statement, which can be read below. Check.
Following the news, several rappers took to social media to share their thoughts on Joe Biden dropping out of the presidential race.
“I told you!!!!!!!!! Stop playing with me!!!!!” Cardi B posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, with seven victory emojis.
Lil Nas X said goodbye to Joe Biden and expressed his support for Vice President Harris as the possible next president of the United States.
“Lock down little brother! @KamalaHarris,” he wrote, adding, “Madam President @KamalaHarris, your seat is ready,” with a saluting emoji.

Joe Biden announces he will not seek re-election
US President Joe Biden announced on Sunday (July 21) that he was withdrawing from the 2024 presidential race after his poor performance in a debate with incumbent Donald Trump in June led Democrats to question whether he was due to his age. Whether it is possible to be re-elected.
“Serving as your president has been the greatest honor of my life,” Biden said in a statement. “While I intend to seek re-election, I believe it is in the best interests of my party and the country that I resign and focus on my duties as president for the remainder of my term.”
He added: “I will detail my decision to the nation later this week.”
In another post by X, Biden revealed that he hopes Vice President Kamala Harris will enter the presidential race.
“My fellow Democrats, I have decided not to accept the nomination and to focus all of my energy on my duties as president for the remainder of my term,” he wrote. “My first decision as the 2020 party nominee is to choose Kamala Harris as my vice president This is the best decision I’ve ever made.”
“Today, I want to express my full support and endorsement of Kamala as our party’s nominee this year. Democrats — it’s time to come together and defeat Trump. Let’s do it,” he concluded.
