Wildfires continue to claim lives and property in Southern California as firefighters work to extinguish blazes that have raged for the past four days. Multiple rappers have been reaching out to try and help the victims of this tragedy.
Snoop Dogg gives away clothes
Long Beach, Calif., native Snoop Dogg is helping those affected by providing clothing from his Snoop Dogg clothing store in Inglewood, Calif. The idol announced the event via a flyer on Instagram on Thursday (January 9).
“We are devastated and extend our condolences to those affected by the fire,” the post read. “Please stop by and pick up some clothing we can provide to help you and your family get through this difficult time for free. ID required ID/address.”
Tyler, the Creator Shares About Shelters and Free Meals
Tyler, the Creator is helping spread the word about where victims can get free shelter and food. The former Odd Future frontman retweeted multiple announcements from local Los Angeles businesses that are providing temporary housing for people and animals and providing free meals to those displaced by the tragedy.

Trae The Truth heads to Los Angeles to personally assist with rescue efforts
Rapper and humanitarian Trae Tha Truth is partnering with Nipsey Hussle’s Marathon Clothing, Blacc Sam’s Marathon Burger and The Source LA at Ground Zero to distribute supplies, clothing and food to help fire victims.
“Real people coming together to do the best we can… everything matters,” he wrote in a post announcing the event.
Game helps evacuees get supplies
Gaming is also on the front lines. The Compton, Calif., native had to evacuate his home in the Los Angeles area. Yet he was outside helping displaced neighbors, distributing water, food and supplies and even helping to clean fire trucks.
“My kids are safe, my mom is safe, and I’m just hanging out with people,” Chuck recently told NBC Los Angeles’ Lauren Coronado.
