After years of teasing, Rakeem is officially back with new music.
The legendary rapper released a new single today titled “Be Ill,” which features his contemporaries Kurupt and Masta Kira. Ahead of the music video’s release on Friday morning, listen to the Boom Bapu-influenced track below.
Additionally, Rakim has announced his first album in 15 years, GODs’ Network (Reb7rth), which will hit DSPs and stores on July 26th. In addition to the digital version, the album will be available on CD, cassette and 12-inch and 7-inch vinyl via rakimpresents.com from Holy Toledo Productions/Compound Interest Entertainment/RRC Music and 1332 Records.
