Quavo is about to collaborate with Lana Del Rey on a new song, which might explain why the unlikely pair were spotted attending a Grammy party together earlier this year.
The pair shared a snippet of the untitled song in a joint Instagram post on Thursday (May 9), along with a photo of Lana and Quavo on their front porch, captioning it: “If you’re from Where you come, then you are born… .
“If you come north, I’ll show you around,” Quavo said in his introduction. “Come for a ride with me. When you’re ready, come find me.
As of this writing, no release date or title has been revealed.
Quavo and Lana Del Rey sparked dating speculation earlier this year when they appeared together at a pre-Grammy Awards party.
In February, the “Candy Necklace” singer and the “Bad and Boujee” rapper were seen getting cozy together in the back of a car as they arrived to party at The Fleur Room in West Hollywood, California.
Although they weren’t seen holding hands, the two seemed to enjoy each other’s company as they both wore big smiles. After getting out of the car, Quavo was in the lead, followed closely by Lana.
Since then, Quavo has been embroiled in a feud with Chris Brown, who despised him for allegedly dating Karrueche Tran.
After exchanging multiple songs back and forth, Karrueche herself weighed in on the matter β and she wanted to distance herself from their chaos.
“I’m not feeling it. That’s it. I’m living my life,” she said in response to a question about how she felt about the diss track. “Work, pay your bills, make time for yourself, that’s all that matters. Whatever happens, I have nothing to do with it. I live a peaceful life. That’s what I want.”
She continued: “I just don’t want any role, I just want peace and happiness. I want to work and thrive.
