Quavo enters the world of animation with a starring role in the upcoming film Takeover, bringing his acting talents to a thriller.
Quavo is stepping into the world of animation with a major role in the upcoming film Takeover , and the first trailer has just been released, showing off what’s to come.
In this graphic novel-style action thriller, he plays Guy Miller, a street racing legend trying to rebuild his life after serving time in prison.
This isn’t just another celebrity cameo either; This is a full commitment to a high-octane project that has been in development since 2022.
The cast surrounding him is talented.
Billy Zane, Zelaya, LaMonica Garrett and Martin Sensmeier were all part of the ensemble, and later “Take Off” also appears in the film, making it even more meaningful to Migos’ legacy.
The entire production is produced by Kevin “Coach K” Lee and Pierre “CEO P” Thomas through Quality Films, the production arm of Quality Control Music, in partnership with Triscope Studios.
Quavo knows exactly what this means to him.
“I’m very excited about this opportunity, especially filming in my hometown of Atlanta,” he said of the role. “This film was the ideal opportunity to delve further into my skills and I can’t wait to see how the action plays out in this animated environment.”
That’s the energy you want from an artist working on a serious performance project
At this point, his filmography speaks for itself. He has appeared in “Atlanta,” “Black-ish,” “Ballers,” “Narcos: Mexico,” “Estre” and most recently “Cash Out” and its sequel “High Rollers” alongside John Travolta.
Last year, he starred in the animated film Stealth alongside Anthony Mackie and Martin Lawrence, so he’s already been able to switch between live-action and animated films with ease.
“Takeover” will be released on May 8, 2026.
