The feud between Kendrick Lamar and Andrew Schulz isn’t something we saw coming. The former mocks white comedians who mock black women on his new album GNX. Schutz was viewed by many as a target of the widespread controversy, including Schutz himself. He decided to make fun of Kendrick Lamar’s size and claimed he could easily sexually assault him if he wanted to. The comedian also noted that despite being co-signed with controversial artists like Kodak Black and R. Kelly, the rapper still stands up for black women. To everyone’s surprise, the hip-hop community paid a lot of attention to Schutz.
Punch, president of TDE and Lamar’s former label boss, took to Twitter to question the comedian’s comments. He also mentioned what he believes is a bias against rappers viewed by Andrew Schultz. “Wait,” Punch said on Twitter. “I know that as a black man [sic] Those of us who are involved in hip-hop, we’re a little slow and don’t really understand sarcasm and humor. But did my guy say he wanted to sleep with Dot? Player Bill O’Reilly is no different.
Andrew Schultz criticized for his offensive comments
Especially, in Rosenberg’s opinion, when it comes to misogynistic jokes in hip-hop. “Schultz is no different than Bill O’Reilly,” the host said. “Just like K Dot, there are 2 on-site staff. [It] Shows that Schulz doesn’t actually like or understand hip-hop…” Peter Rosenberg also urged hip-hop fans not to compare him to Schulz based on skin color. “Not all white people are built the same,” he said. The right to talk about hip-hop culture.
The criticism continued after O’Shea Jackson, Jr. took to Twitter. Ace Cooper’s son simply said Andrew Schulz was “weird.” In a follow-up tweet, he lamented the comedian’s tendency toward politically incorrect humor as a means of pandering to his fan base. “Man, how people change over some weird stuff,” Jackson wrote. “I’m a fan.”
