Diddy’s mom released a statement calling out inaccuracies in 50 Cent’s new Diddy documentary.
On December 6, Puff’s mother, Janice Combs, released an exclusive statement to Deadline in response to Netflix’s new documentary “Sean Combs: The Reckoning.”
“I am writing this statement to correct some of the lies contained in Sean Combs: The Reckoning, which will be released on Netflix on December 2, 2025,” Janice wrote. “These inaccurate information about my son Sean’s upbringing and family life are intentionally misleading to viewers and further damage our reputation.”
“In this documentary, I’m portrayed as an abusive parent,” she continued. “This is untrue. As I’ve said before, I was a single mother raising a son, and I worked three or even four jobs to try to provide my child with a comfortable upbringing and a quality education. I raised Sean with love and effort. Not abuse.”
Janice also addressed claims that Diddy once assaulted her on the show.
“After the tragedy at City College on December 28, 1991, Mr. Kirk Burrows claimed that my son slapped me while we were talking, an allegation that was inaccurate and patently false,” she added. “For him to exploit this tragedy and incorporate a false narrative to further his previously failed and current attempts to obtain something that was never his is wrong, outrageous and offensive in the past.”
