The professor is an experienced performer at this point in his career. For over 20 years, the Triple Threat (yes, he can sing and rap, but can entertain hell in the crowd with his charming charm) has been honing his craft at locations around the world, making brave talent, talented, rude on stage.
But his headline show at the historic Red Rock Amphitheater in Morrison, Colorado shocked him a little on April 26 as the professor seemed confident. In fact, he told Allhiphop that he initially said “no” to the opportunity. AEG proposed the idea first by talent buyer Adam Stroul.
“I said, ‘Oh, hell no. I’m not ready,” he admitted. “I thought, ‘No, no, not yet.’ Then I called Wonka and said, “Listen to this M ###################Wonka said, “Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, I thought, “Yes, it’s crazy.” Then, I called my f #################################################################################################################################

The professor will have several performances before the Red Rock date, or, as he said, will receive more representation. Although Red Rock is the artist’s dream destination, he doesn’t “pinch” himself – it’s much more than that.
“I prefer filming myself,” he said. “It’s like, ‘Get ready, wake up f### upwards.’ This is my first show in a long time.
But there was a feeling deep down in his heart that the professor knew he was going to kill it. He added: “When the music started, it wasn’t back. I was ready to go. I’m glad we had other big shows so we could figure out kinks and stuff. I’m trying a lot of risky things. I did a stupid ass decision not to do the same thing. I’m doing all the risky s ###.”

The professor will provide enhanced access from several special guests including Mexico OT and Jpegmafia (including Danny Brown). He has been working on the suit for two to three months, hoping to bring an unforgettable experience to his faithful Gampos. The title magnitude of a show at Red Rocks was not lost on the professor.
“I can be grateful just for how long it took,” he said. “If I had just started raping a year ago and I was still very young, I might be like, ‘Oh, this is mine. I owe this.’ But it took a long time and I’ve tried it.
Around 2012, Macklemore blew up the vision of the Red Rocks show with a “Thrift Shop.” Macklemore happened to be performing at Red Rocks in town that night, so he decided to go. When he watched the show from the backstage, he couldn’t help wondering if such a platform would be in his future.
“It’s when he really pops up, like a robbery or something like that,” he recalls. “I remember ‘H ##########, this place is crazy.” The show is big. Apparently, he did.
The professor’s latest album, Horse, arrived in 2023. He will play music from the entire catalog and bring a lot of surprises. The door opens at 5 p.m. Find tickets here.
