The Northeast Portland native announced the festival on Instagram over the weekend with a promotional video. In the film, Amine appears to be sitting at Helen Bernhard Bakery in Portland, brainstorming ideas for a name for the festival over the phone.

After presenting the options, the pair ultimately settled on “The Best Day Ever,” similar to the rapper’s 2022 tour, “The Best Tour Ever.”
In the caption of the trailer announcement video, the rapper revealed that the festival was “years in the making ☀️.” The festival lineup will be announced on Monday, with pre-sale of tickets starting at 10 a.m., according to the festival’s Instagram page.
The video features an unreleased song produced by Portland-based producer Pasqué, Aminé’s longtime collaborator. The title “Portland Kids Have Their Own Day” is highlighted at the end of the video.
