Playboi Carti really keeps fans on their toes. The rapper has remained silent for years. He rarely posts on social media and has never released music. That all changed last month. Playboi Carti has released two (!) singles, including a collaboration with The Weeknd. He regularly promotes his album on IG and Twitter. He even found time to poke fun at Kick anchor Adin Ross. Ross has been making headlines recently for his run-ins with Los Angeles artists, and Cardi decided to join in the fun.
The Adin Ross vs. Los Angeles saga begins on September 26th. Friendship, he was not popular on the west coast. Ross subsequently denied the claims and threatened to sue the alleged affiliates. Ross also posted a video in which he said security guards would physically attack him. Tensions boiled over the next day. Los Angeles rapper Hitta J3, who claims to be affiliated with Kendrick Lamar, took to Instagram Stories to mock Adin Ross. He mentioned an incident where Playboi Carti entered Ross’ live stream, then left six minutes later and went on to withdraw $2 million from the streamer’s funds.
Playboi Carti Notorious On Ross Live
“No wonder Cardi doesn’t take your podcast seriously,” Hitta J3 wrote. “You guys are all kind of famous kids, let it get to your Aden.” It was a pretty devastating diss. Playboi Carti’s involvement only makes things more serious. The rapper decided to repost Hitta’s post on his IG timeline and added a laughing emoji. Rose is still being teased about the incident in February, which clearly amuses him. It’s clear that Playboi Carti doesn’t have much respect for Ross as a tastemaker.
The rapper has largely stayed out of Drake’s battle with Kendrick Lamar, and while he’s not leaning toward either side, this dig at Rose is the closest we’ve seen him to picking a side. Playboi Carti wasn’t the only artist to despise Arden Ross on Friday. Smac TDE claimed online that he was annoyed by Rose’s tough comments. He claimed he was a fan of the streamer in the past but vowed to mace Rose’s security if he saw him in Los Angeles
