Playboi Carti didn’t have the blue carpet moment he hoped for on the 2025 Met Gala, as he was allegedly banned from using the stylish biggest nights.
Playboi Carti feels he’s kicked out of the dance
Playboi Carti made his evening post on his Finsta after the opening of the Metropolitan Museum of Art on May 5 at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. He was also a little disappointed with the ban, but the happiness that kept his ladies leaning against him fixed it all.
He wrote on Instagram: “Met Gala forbids me from feeling we were kicked out of the prom, but we were nice with me @ft.gioo, I’m a happy man f**k em @chromeheartsofficial.”
XXL has solicited statements with Met about Carti’s so-called ban.
These images show Carti running along the corridor of the hotel and posing in the room with Giovanna’s “Gio” Ramos”, a Brazilian model who spent more time in the rap circle while hanging out with Lil Yachty and Concrete Boys last year. Streaming Young Dabo had Gio on his stream in the second half of 2024 and named Video I hired Playboi Carti’s stylist to stylist for ME (Gio). So, obviously this might be how Gio and Carti originally connected.
Carti chose the classic black and white ensemble with his neck, wrists and fingers frozen. Gio chose everything in an all-black style dress and a sleek ponytail, tied them together.
