“Showtime is all about being ready for anything. It reintroduces Khujo Goodie as one of hip-hop’s top MCs across generations. Showtime is the song that inspires listeners to want to win at any game of life they’re playing. When a team needs that extra push When we work hard to get through adversity, performance time can also be an anthem for the team!”
DJ Papi contacted Khujo to do something for the upcoming football season. He made a version that talked about sports, but they wanted a version without the sports references, so they decided to release that version.
Khujo Goodie’s artistry transcends mere entertainment; it embodies a deep-rooted connection to his origins. Originally from Atlanta, he recognized his destiny in hip-hop at an early age. In 1994, the band co-founded Goodie Mob with Big Gipp, CeeLo Green and T-Mo, fearlessly addressing social issues such as racism, discrimination, geopolitics and gentrification, leaving an indelible mark on the hip-hop world.
Despite facing adversity, including a near-fatal car accident, Khujo Goodie persevered and solidified his solo career with songs like “The Man Not The Dog,” which charted on the Billboard Hot 100 List. The Goodie Mob reunion has delivered albums like Age Against The Machine and Survival Kit, proving their enduring legacy.
Moving forward, Khujo Goodie will build on the recently released songs and his new role as global ambassador for new music distribution company Maverick Global and begin work on a series of new singles.
