The Philadelphia Eagles looked dead in the water during the half-time break in Los Angeles last Sunday. The rams placed them on the ropes, determined their pace, and piled up command lead. Then the second half arrived and everything changed.
The game flipped when the Hawks stopped the shot and scored a touchdown, but the spark that fueled the comeback came from Star Plaza AJ Brown. Brown, already considered one of the NFL’s major offensive threats, turned into a single-man-destroying crew in the final two quarters, chopped up the Rams’ middle school and helped Philadelphia win a 33-26 victory.
When the Highlights Reel replays the blocked kick, something else might unfold behind the scenes, which could have caught Brown on fire. Sources inside the stadium said the DJ caused Kurtis Blow’s old-fashioned classic “AJ Scratch” during the game. For those who know the song, the hook for the song is called “AJ” and at a funky rhythm – enough to attract crowds to move, obviously enough to give the 11th place an extra shock.
Brown did not directly name the track in the post-match interview, but currently suggested that he laughed when asked what promoted his surge. A source in the locker room told Allhiphop that Brown “points directly to that song” was a turning point in his energy. Whether it’s coincidence or cosmic timing, a mix of football and hip-hop may lead people to Philadelphia.
Kurtis Blow, the earliest pioneer of rap, probably never thought his 1984 national anthem echoed in the NFL stadium and inspired one of the league’s highest receivers. But hip hop has always been about energy, resistance and victory! These are the ingredients that power Philadelphia in the second half of the year. By the way, KB did not return our information to post a comment. He may be a fan of the New York Giants…or worse, the Rams
Anyway…it looks like sheer luck to casual fans. But in reality, a comeback is based on perseverance, adjustment and mental resilience. Brown and the Hawks aren’t just fate. They force it.
With Philadelphia pushing the whole season, this win is not only due to a blocked shot or Brown’s dominance, but also a reminder of how culture and competition often collide in unexpected ways. An old-fashioned jam, a shot catcher and a tough team turn something that looks like a certain failure into a West Coast robbery.
To record…our own Chuck “puzzle” Creekmur is “source”. He was there and saw everything.
