Mexican singer and rapper Peso Pluma, who has been making waves lately, has enlisted the talents of the most dynamic Cardi B on their latest album, PUT EM IN THE FRIDGE.
The pair control the tempo admirably and glide bilingually, switching seamlessly between English and Spanish. Cardi is further exploring her Afro-Latino roots as an artist, and we’re here for it!

The song comes from Pluma’s latest full-length release “Éxodo” and it’s an interesting song to say the least. Disc 1 of the album features Pluma on vocals, delivering energetic yet relaxed music that stays true to the artist’s Mexican roots. Disc 2, however, takes the listener on a completely different tangent, culminating in Pluma’s cultural heritage and the sounds of trap music, featuring Cardi B, Quavo, Rich The Kid and DJ Snake!
The trap drumming on “PUT EM IN THE FRIDGE” is insane, and the song draws heavily from uptempo trap music but balances it with bold string instruments. Subtle horns are also sprinkled throughout the sonic space, adding funky depth to the track’s bounce. Sonically, the artists deliver their verses with an aggressive yet laid-back undertone, providing the opportunity for exciting cheering or party listening.
