A video of a pastor using the phrase “no Puff Daddy” while promoting abstinence before marriage has gone viral.
Preacher uses “No Diddy”
On Thursday (October 17), a video began to go viral, showing a preacher sarcastically using the phrase “no Diddy” during a sermon. The footage, which can be seen below, is from a church service at Oakwood University, a historically black Seventh-day Adventist college in Huntsville, Alabama, and originally aired on October 3 .
“I’m speaking to the students on OU Live right now,” he said around the 1:22:30 timestamp of the video. “I know you’re trying to make a decision. Even though you’re here, you may have to say ‘No, Dad’ to the students at Oakwood. I’m just being honest. You have to make a personal decision about your life and how you live it. Decide.
After telling the students about his journey to abstinence, including that he didn’t kiss his now-wife until they were married, the pastor suddenly chanted “No Diddy,” to the delight of the crowd.
“No Diddy” replaces “Pause”
In recent months, “no Diddy” has replaced “pause” in hip-hop parlance following wild accusations of sexual perversion against the music mogul. Back in March, Philadelphia rapper Qualey entered a race to trademark the term.
