Nas will host a high-energy Amazon Music Presents: In the Paint showcase at the Emirates NBA Cup semifinals in Las Vegas on December 13, as excitement for his new DJ Premier-produced album reaches fever pitch. The outdoor venue will occupy T Mobile Arena’s Toshiba Plaza between the semifinals and promises to fuse hip-hop and basketball in one of the league’s most important mid-season moments.
The Queensbridge legend steps into the spotlight just one day after the release of his long-awaited collaboration with DJ Premier, Light-Years. The news immediately sparked anticipation for the show, especially considering the pair’s collaboration dating back to the landmark Ilmatic, a bond that shaped the sound of an entire era.
Amazon Music, Prime Video Sports and the NBA confirmed that select songs from the concert will be streamed during the NBA’s live stream of the Emirates NBA Cup semifinals on Prime.
