Nicki Minaj’s $20 million Los Angeles-area mansion is reportedly at risk of being sold to settle unpaid lawsuit debt.
On Tuesday (October 14), Us Weekly reported that Thomas Weidenmuller filed a motion with the court on October 6 asking the court to order Nicki to sell her home in Hidden Hills, California, because she has not yet paid him the $503,000 he received after suing the rapper and her husband Kenneth Petty for assault in 2022.
Weidenmuller worked as security for Nicki Minaj during a 2019 concert in Germany. He claimed in the lawsuit that Nicki became enraged when a fan bypassed security and got on stage during the show. She later called Weidenmiller into the room and berated him, before he was beaten by Nikki’s husband. Weidenmuller said he was injured in the alleged attack and required surgery.
Nicki failed to respond to the lawsuit, so she was ordered to pay $503,000. However, she has not paid back the money. Weidenmuller hopes to put the rapper’s house up for sale so he can collect his coins.
Weidenmuller’s attorney argued in the motion that Nikki’s home was worth much more than what he was owed.
“While it is regrettable that extraordinary measures were required to force the sale of Minaj’s residence, this outcome was entirely the result of her stubbornness in non-payment,” the filing reads. “Minaj is a global music superstar with an estimated net worth between $150 and $190 million and is reported to be the highest-paid female rap star in the world. There is no question that she is more than capable of paying the judgment in full, however, despite multiple written payment requests and levies to several of her suspected creditors, she has refused to do so.”
