Drake and Nicki Minaj rose to superstardom as part of the Young Money team. As Drake gets into a lyrical battle with Kendrick Lamar, the Canadian’s “Needle” collaborator took to social media to show him some love.
Nicki Minaj features Drake on her Pink Friday 2 tour (Drizzy’s hometown of Toronto). The unexpected appearance made news as the OVO boss told the crowd, “You know what time it is, you know what I’m going to do.”
Many hip-hop fans believe Drake delivered the message in response to Kendrick Lamar’s diss track “Euphoria,” which was released on Tuesday (April 30). Throughout the six-minute record, Lamar blasted his opponent on multiple fronts.
In addition to mocking Drake on the “Euphoria” song, Kendrick Lamar also warned, “Shoot, kick y’all, they punk y’all, no one ever Ate my food. Whoever is with him, f### you n#####, and also f### this industry.
Apparently, Nicki Minaj didn’t take Lamar’s warning about “Euphoria” too seriously. The Pink Friday 2 album creator is still shouting out Drake on the X platform after he appeared at a Tuesday night show in Canada.
“Looking through my DRICKI photos, they are so cute. Ahwwwwwwwww. His presence tonight made me so happy. The way the boys scream when they hit the ground running is really different. Will be posting some IG content soon, ” Nicki Minaj wrote on Twitter.
