Brandon Garrett, who claims to be Nicki Minaj’s manager during last year’s Pinkprint World Tour 2, is reportedly suing the rapper for assault, battery and intentional infliction Emotional distress.
According to legal documents obtained by TMZ and filed by attorney Thomas Feher, Garrett claims the incident occurred in April 2024 when Minaj sent him on an errand after a concert in Detroit. When he returned, he said he was called to her dressing room and was furious when she discovered Garrett had sent someone else to pick up her prescription.
“Are you crazy for letting him take my prescription?” she allegedly screamed at him. “You have lost your mind. If my husband were here, he would knock your teeth out. You are a walking dead man. You will never become anything as long as you mess up your whole life. I Will ensure this.
Garrett said she then struck him on the right side of his face with her open hand, causing his head to swing back and his hat to fly off his head. Mina then told him to “get the fuck out of here,” which he did. Then, fearing for his safety, he locked himself in a bathroom at Little Caesars Arena for “several hours.” He also called his fiancée to let her know what was going on.
Minaj’s attorney, Judd Burstein, denied they had ever seen the lawsuit.
“Currently, no complaints have been received [Nicki Minaj] Therefore, we are not aware of the specific charges,” Burstein said in a statement. “However, if this lawsuit is what TMZ reports, it is completely false and frivolous. We believe the issues raised by the former assistant will [Nicki Minaj’s] grace.

Last August, Nicki Minaj was sued by one of her Barbz members, Tameer Peak, who accused the Grammy-nominated rapper of defamation. Peak claims she was a victim of the “Nicki hate train” in 2017, when she lashed out at several of her ardent fans.
He said Mina openly mocked him and accused him of being a “stalker.” She allegedly once invited him to her hotel for a shoot and embarrassed him in front of 100,000 viewers on Instagram Live.
Peake also accused Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty, of assaulting him during the 2020 Super Bowl, which he said Minaj talked about in private messages.
Other accusations include Mina describing him as mentally unstable, saying, “Obviously, you know, they’re not necessarily a basket case at a picnic.” In another alleged instance, she allegedly said he “also Send a sandwich to a picnic” and accept a government check.
Peak is demanding $5 million in damages from Minaj for reputational damage, emotional distress and financial losses.
