Nick Cannon attributed the birth of five children in a year to what he called “careless activities” in a revealing interview, in which he reflected on his vast family and the motivations behind it.
The 44-year-old artist hosted the masked singer, who welcomed five babies with five different women in 2022 – Rise with Bre Tiesi, Rise with Brittany Bell with Lanisha Cole, Rise with Brittany Bell, Beautiful with Abby de la Rosa and Halo with Alyssa Scott and Alyssa Scott, bringing his total number of children to 12.
When Vulture asked about his family’s rapid expansion, Cannon admitted that he was not trying to imitate Elon Musk’s famous big brood.
Instead, he said his choices are often driven by a desire to please others.
“It’s a byproduct of my desire to soothe the woman I deal with or the single friend I want to have children,” he said.
Despite this, Cannon admits, even though he was caught off guard.
“It’s also kind of like ‘Okay, God, I have five kids in a year?’ Maybe it’s a careless activity,” he said.
Despite a year of whirlwind, Cannon did not shut down more children.
“There was a point in time and I was like, ‘No, I was done.’ Then, I was like, “Who should I say? “It seems to be a stressful thing,” he said. “I never thought I would have 12 kids. So, that’s one of the things that I love kids. I love my life and if it can keep going, why not?”
Cannon is also preparing to launch a new podcast, Nick Cannon @ Night, where he will share relationship advice and personal insights. The show is expected to premiere later this year.
