In an interview with Complex last year, NBA YoungBoy said he had allowed himself to become part of the “demonic” music industry.
“I learned it was a devilish industry and I chose to join it,” he said. “So it’s like, I accept it. I run with it. But not to be a fake person at the same time. You have to understand, they’re using me as entertainment, and it also becomes self-destructive. Because I’m not an entertainer.”
He added: “You know, some things can’t be said. Why? Man, because of that shit, it keeps going.”
NBA Youngboy is currently under house arrest until the end of his federal gun case trial, which is expected to begin in July.
In December, he got an amendment allowing him to leave his residence for medical treatment.
“Defendant is confined to his residence under lockdown 24 hours a day except for medical appointments, court appearances, or other activities specifically approved in advance by the defendant’s pretrial supervision officer,” a court filing reads.
