NBA YoungBoy announced the release date for Slime Cry almost three months ago, with the original release scheduled for around Thanksgiving in late November, but savvy fans noticed his relative silence in the days following the announcement and leading up to the release, and were surprised that New Music Friday came and went without a new album. Especially over the past few days, fans have been skeptical of its midnight drop.
But tonight, YoungBoy will start his 2026 with “Slime Cry”.
The album comes less than six months after Make America Slime Again dropped this summer, which amounts to another two-year hiatus from a rapper due to YB’s insane work rate.
YB also made history by becoming the most certified rapper in RIAA history.
